About Austin Bollinger
Hello! My name is Austin Bollinger and my mission is to help you Crush Your Goals! every single day, and all year long.
Who am I?
I’m a husband to my high school sweetheart, Callie (15 years strong), website builder, doggy dad, proud uncle (5 nephews and 1 niece), weightlifter, beer & bourbon lover, and lifetime learner. Read more about my story below.
I’m obsessed with goal setting (in fact, I wrote the book on it!), and I love to read and learn about personal and professional development. I started this website to share what I’ve learned, as well as to put my own spin on things.
If you’re interested in high performance, growing as an individual, becoming more successful (however you define success), or just learning something new, please feel free to explore my blog, the podcast, or even my guest writing on Lifehack and Addicted2Success.
Cheers, and welcome to the community!

If you're curious,
I'd love to share my story
My story starts a lot like many peoples’ do: after I graduated high school, I had very little idea of what I wanted to do with my life, or who I wanted to become. I knew two things: I wanted to marry Callie and I needed to go to college.
So, I went to college for a degree in graphic design, one of the few things I showed an aptitude for in high school that I thought would earn me a decent salary down the road.
And, although I stuck with the degree, I soon ditched the idea of becoming a highly successful designer—I just didn’t feel I was creative enough to make it big. Instead, I switched to video production, finished out my four-year degree and landed my first job as a video editor.
After spending a couple of years working in video, I began to cycle my way through various skills, jobs, passions, and companies. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been an ambitious, driven, and self-motivated person, but for most of my life, I struggled with clarity and focus.
For a long time, I didn’t have clear, long-term goals for my life. In fact, had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and I’m not even sure I ever practiced regular goal setting. Sure, every year I would set a New Year’s Resolution, and I might have a random, fitness goal in mind, but nothing ever too meaningful or future-focused.
Sometime in 2014, I got tired of postponing my self-improvement. I got tired of waiting to set one huge goal on January 1st, only to quit less than 45 days later. I was tired of the New Year’s Resolution trap!
Something finally clicked! I began writing my goals down, started consuming personal development content, and I was building a daily routine around my new goals.
I did this consistently for years and one Fall morning in October of 2017 I was following my usual routine: wake up at 4:45, head off to the gym, tune into a podcast, and hit the weights. I was training for the 1,250lb club, and my goal was to crush this new personal record by Christmas.
As I was listening to a podcast, resting for another lift, a thought struck me like a bolt of lightning! What if more people set goals every month, every week, or every day? What if we could channel the energy of the New Year holiday into each and every day?
No sooner than the thought jumped into my head, a name and mission formed in mind, almost as if it were there all along: Daily New Year’s, a blog about starting new things and striving for continual improvement all year long.
I raced home a wrote it down in my journal.
Daily New Year’s was born!
Since starting Daily New Year’s in 2017, my love for goal setting, writing, and sharing what I’ve learned has grown beyond belief. I have been pursuing my goals with passionate energy. I’ve been pouring everything I have into my mission. I’ve been building a community, writing a book, learning how to podcast, building courses, and so much more!
When I first started Daily New Years, my focus was narrow: help people ditch their New Years Resolutions and focus on daily improvement. But because of the personal growth I’ve had, my mission has also grown.
I now found myself wanting to help people find clarity, overcome fears and obstacles, set and achieve goals, and so much more! So, I took a reluctant break from blogging and podcasting in 2019 to write my very first book, Crush Your Goals!
Writing that book opened my eyes to a whole new world of opportunities—a world where I could start coaching people to reach higher levels of performance and success in their own lives—a world where I could write more books, speak on stages, and work with people all over the world.
Long story short (I’m nothing if not verbose), I decided to shut Daily New Years down in 2022 and convert all of my content into the website you’re on now: AustinBollinger.com.
It is my hope that my writing, my interviews and podcasts, and my new video training series based on my book will have a massive, positive impact on your life.
That said, I’m not perfect—not even close! I love talking about goal setting, personal development, motivation, and more, but I make mistakes and sometimes struggle to take my own advice, but I’m working to become Better Every Day.
I warmly invite you to do the same. We can all become better every day by taking action towards our goals and building momentum towards our dreams. All it takes is one action.
As I love to tell people, You are only one goal—one action—away from achieving GREATNESS in your life!
Take action towards your dreams today and watch your life transform!
